Church blast kills 3, wounds dozens in Nigeria

Lagos, Nigeria (CNN) -- A church bombing in northern Nigeria killed at least three people and wounded 35 others Sunday morning, Red Cross and state emergency officials said.

Five children are among the wounded, said Muhammad Inuwa Bello, chairman of the state emergency operation team.

The bomb struck the Living Faith church as the congregation was leaving the Sunday service in the Yelwatudu area of Bauchi state, about 12 km (7 miles) from the state capital.

There are no suspects and no one has claimed responsibility, Bello said.
