In a bizarre incident at Jay Z’s Radio 1 Hackney Weekend concert,
Beyonce reportedly ordered her bodyguards to rough up some racist
hecklers who had verbally attacked her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
Eyewitnesses claimed the hecklers were making racial remarks about the
child’s appearance and what she’ll look like when she grows up. Ouch.
According to
sources,
one of the hecklers started yelling disrespectful comments at her. So
far, the exact wording of the hecklers’ racist insults has not been
revealed, but it must have been pretty nasty because the “Single Ladies”
singer reportedly went ballistic. She promptly sent several big, burly
bodyguards over to teach the loudmouths some manners.
“Jay-Z’s bodyguards weren’t going to have any of it,” recalls an
insider. “They waded in and there was a massive ruckus. It got pretty
ugly and Beyonce was whisked away so she wouldn’t get caught in the
middle of it.”
Oh well, while there are as yet no reports of injuries or
hospitalizations, it’s probably safe to assume that the bodyguards won.
Interestingly, most of the fan sites reporting the sordid story felt no
sympathy for them–not that they deserved any.
“Those dumb asses had it coming,” one site opined. “They knew what
they were saying and they knew she could hear. People are gross. Good
for Bey for not turning the other cheek. Sometimes people need to get
smacked!”
Hey, what goes around comes around, and sometimes it comes around
painfully. While everyone has a right to his own opinion, no one has a
right to belittle or bully others in public with racist, sexist, or
homophobic slurs. And why would racists go to a Jay Z concert anyway?
Obviously, they were looking for trouble.
Looks like they found it. Duh.
