May D's Confam Entertainment and Zzini Media Announce Joint Venture Agreement over Him #breakingNews

Zzini Media hereby announce the signing on of "Awodumila Akinmayokun" , popularly known as "MAY D" .
May D , a mass communication graduate of university of Lagos , and a native of Ode in Ekiti state hit the airwaves with 4 hot singles "Ile Ijo , Gat Me High, Cool Temper and Soundtrack" and debuted with his album titled "Chapter One" in 2003 under his own record label : "Confam Entertainment". He started as a break dancer but his versatility and unique voice soon made him a singer to beat .

To Mr. Folarin Ola-Ishola, Vice President , Zzini Media , this signing which is a joint venture agreement with CONFAM ENTERTAINMENT is "Our bold way of supporting and collaborating with cutting edge music artistes, providing also the required and needed structure and funding for the artistes consistent growth and stability. Video - Jude Okoye Reveals Reason for May-D , P-Square Split

Last year, everyone reacted with shock when it was announced that MayD and Square Records had parted ways. The official statement released during the split made it clear that the reason for the split was “irreconcilable differences“…

While in Uganda a few weeks ago, Jude shed light on the real reason for the split. Based on Jude’s response, it seems as though when it was time to sign the official contract, MayD’s demands superseded what Square Records was willing to offer.

May D Launches New Record Label, Confam Entertainment

It has been long since May D was dropped from P-Sqaure’s Square Records, and he is not letting anything hold him back in terms of his career growth.
May D launches his own record label, Confam Entertainment . At the moment he’s the only one on the label, but word is there might be a UK singer on deck pretty soon.
Word was he might have signed to HKN records, and at another time Chocolate City. There have also been rumors of a law suit at Square Records from May D, but none of that has been confirmed.

May D has been gaining a lot of momentum over the past year with his hits Ile Ijo & One Night Stand steady gathering steam, and his appearances on other songs have added extra spice to his resume.
I wish him the best in the future. Big move for him. -->

Singer May D To Drag P-Square's Square Records To Court

Report reaching me said there are strong indications that rising singer, "May D" may be seeking redress in a court of law over what he has described as an alleged breach of contract by Nigeria's singing sensation, P-Square.

I hear that May D is presently unhappy about his exile from Square Records owned by P-Square and may be marching into a court room anytime soon.

Some weeks ago, a statement signed by Jude Okoye, the elder brother of the P-square, Square Records stated that Square Records had terminated its contract with singer May D and would no longer have anything to do with his career.

Sources close to May D have revealed that May D is further aggrieved by the fact that he was not informed of the termination of his contract by Square Records rather, he read on on entertainment blogs and on the pages of newspapers.

According to a PUNCH newspaper reporter, “the singer is already talking to his lawyers. As soon as that is done, an official statement would be made available to the media depending on the advice of his legal team.”

May D's official Youtube Channel deleted - WOW!!

Events relating to the split between Square Records and May-D, have taken another downside turn. The singers Youtube channel (officialmayd) was deleted two days back. What no one knows for sure is who really deleted the channel which was managed by Iroko Partners and had over a million views; May D himself or Square Records.

P-Square's record label, Square Records, sacked May D last week after being signed to the label for over one year.

May D claims he is not aware of his sack from Square Records

When contacted this morning following the statement released by Jude Okoye that May D is no longer an artist under Square Records; May D claimed he was not aware of the sack. His associates said they all heard about the sack on blogs and social media; that May D was not properly informed.

We believe that the contract between them was not consummated on the internet, how come a disclaimer was issued to bloggers and journalists without properly serving notice to the person involved?

If this is true, then it's unfortunate!

I, Jude 'Engees' Okoye of Square Records Limited and Northside Entertainment Limited hereby announces to the general public that Mr. Akinmayokun Awodumila, otherwise known as MAY D is no longer an artiste under the aforementioned outfits due to irreconcilable differences.
