Fashola: Lagos Countdown Festival Rated Very High. See images and video of a marriage proposal

The Lagos state new year's countdown has always been one to look forward to, the excitement, the lighting, the fireworks, music etc always sets up an atmosphere of happiness and cause for celebration.
Gov Fashola took time to gloat about the event, which I think is very allowed seeing his efficiency and input towards the beauty of Lagos and certainly means he has the people at heart.
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola, yesterday said the state's countdown programme had been rated among the top 10 in the world.
He expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to the corporate organisations that partnered the state to make the 2014 edition a success, saying their support has been of immense contribution to the success of the annual festival, he said this at the grand finale of the 2014 edition organised by the state government through the State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) to usher in the New Year.

Also commending LASAA and all the sponsors of the countdown for a hitch-free crossover event and for making the 2014 Lagos Countdown a success.

Fashola rated the standard of the countdown festivities very high, saying it was of international standard and compared with any other being held in developed countries.

The Gov said: “When we started this countdown idea, it was meant to be a Lagos State Government project, but these partners came as support and made so much happen as we have it now.”

Fashola commended the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, for his support, noting that the edition “will be my last speech as the Lagos State governor at the Countdown Festival.
“I recall how this project was conceptualised, and I am happy to have fulfilled a countdown of this quality, thanks to everyone who have made this possible”.

The governor used the opportunity to drum up support for his party’s candidate for the next election, saying Lagosians should support, Akinwunmi Ambode so that he can continue the giant strides that had been initiated in Lagos including the end of year festivities.
“I want to assure Lagosians that Akinwunmi Ambode can be trusted to continue this project. He was the accountant general at the debut of this event, he has the experience,” he said.

Those who performed at the event included Sir Victor Owaifo, Sir Shina Peters, Daddy Showkey flanked by 2face, Banky W, Omawumi, Olamide, Phyno, Reminisce, Seyi Shay and many others.
The event was also graced by great personalities including Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, and Nigerian Breweries boss, Kufre Ekanem, among others.

Happy 2015 Everyone

The year 2014 was certainly an amazing year , achieved quite a number of things on my list , met the right people and destiny helpers, most of all am grateful for life. Being able to enter the Year 2015 is another testimony for me and for you reading this. A new year, a new race, new beginnings, a chance to make up, a chance to perfect what has already been initiated, a time to reap those fruits you have long sown. This year all your hearts desires shall be granted, believe in the supreme father, keep a positive mind state, focus on your craft and be the best at it. Be loving, kind and of humble spirits.
This year your dreams will manifest . And finally to everyone that was part of my existence in 2014 , I appreciate you, and to those that will be part of it this 2015, lets do this!! Have a blessed happy 2015 guys .. Cheers

Happy New Year Everyone !! Cheers to life , cheers to Greatness

First off , I like to thank the BIG MAN up there for making it possible for us to see this new year 2014! that being said , I will like to use this medium to say thank you to everyone , readers, friends, affiliates, and everyone who I have had a connection or contact with , directly or indirectly , friend or foe. Because our present is always a result of our past events, and in one way or another everyone we've ever made contact with has made it happen. ( I know you all understand what am saying sha ... before I go "cast"my self)
Having said all that , I believe we all have heard the "new year" advice a billion times , besides I have always though our individual birthdays is our individual new years , so I'll keep this short ..
Lets all keep that dream alive, think rich and grow rich ,  believe in you, believe in your cause "The cause" of  your existence ,  that mustard seed of faith is very imperative . Remember every beginning of a new year sometimes come cold and though , but it will surely pass so don't get all worked up and all, make merry all through , keep your plan in focus , dream it , eat it , talk about it , live it .. and the universe will surely serve you whats yours . Be resilient , is a 12 months marathon so we start a little slow, but keeping a geometric progressive pace . If the SUPREME Father can provide for lesser animals like the birds with food shelter and every, not to talk about us , that he made in his own likeness ( Image ) .. so lets all  keep calm , mix with the right crowd , smile at everyone, try get less angry or worked up, treat yourself like a king or queen , and walk with your had up ... God has our 2014 all under control . Happy new year everyone , love you all ! cheers to greatness!
