Oprah Winfrey's Ex-Stepmother Resumes Dishing the Dirt On the Celebrated Business Mogul (part2)

On Tuesday in an explosive interview with DailMail, one of the World's most influential celebrities Oprah Winfrey was attacked by her bitter step mother, Barbara Winfrey, after Oprah allegedly forced her out of her marital home, leaving her homeless.
Barbara today resumed dishing all kinds of dirt about Oprah in the part 2 of her interview which is entirely devoted to the weirdness of the relationship between Oprah, Stedman Graham and Gayle King..

Oprah began dating longtime boyfriend Stedman in 1986 but, according to Barbara, in all the times
she saw them together she never for once witnessed them hold hands or kiss.

Barbara alleges that Oprah paid her security team to follow and monitor Stedman. That one time, during an argument between Oprah and Stedman, that Oprah had revealed detailed knowledge of Stedman’s life, his movements and who he was spending his time with when she wasn’t around.
Barbara said:

She told Stedman a member of her security team had told her. When he asked, “How come this guy knows everything about my life?”, she said “That’s what I pay people to know.” She had had him followed I don’t know for how long. Once you’re in Oprah’s world, she owns you! 

I think in the beginning it was different. Vernon (Oprah's father) told me how one time he was driving and Oprah was taking Stedman to meet family in Mississippi. He said she was running her hands through his hair the whole trip, till he was so fed up he was ready to put her out of the car.

She wanted to get married at first but he wasn’t so keen. Then she became this powerful person and things changed, the balance switched. He’s now at her beck and call. Stedman isn’t a good steward of money and that suits Oprah fine. He is financially dependent on her. He knows her secrets and she knows his.

Why would they marry now? He’s there at her beck and call. He knows his role in her life.’

As for best friend Gayle, Barbara says her relationship with Oprah is "unhealthy." She continued:

Gayle is very, very present. I don’t know any man I’ve ever dated who could tolerate that, but Stedman knows Gayle’s going nowhere. They speak on the phone three or four times a day. 

Once Oprah took us on a Mediterranean cruise. It was an amazing thing she did. She rented a $30million yacht and went on an 11-day cruise. She’s very flamboyant.  

We had meals three times a day, three courses, different place settings, different cutlery, glassware, different everything three times a day but she never talked to me and Vernon. She didn’t spend any time with us. It was always her, Stedman and Gayle. The three of them. Anytime you looked up they were together. To me it was just bizarre. 

Sometimes I believe that Oprah is more dependent on Gayle than the other way round. I don’t know what she would do without her friendship and if it’s not more than friendship then they’re certainly giving every appearance that it is.'

The cover of next month’s edition of Oprah's eponymous magazine, ‘O: The Oprah Magazine’ shows the star, resplendent in Purple alongside the promise, ‘How to Love the Skin You’re In', but according to Barbara, that is something Oprah herself has never quite managed to achieve.
Barbara continued:

‘Nobody can live up to being Oprah. She’s human like I’m human. She’s not perfect. She tells the world what to do but she’s in inner turmoil. Everybody thinks she has all the answers but she needs to sit down with Dr Phil. Vernon often told me that he thought if Oprah could change the color of her skin she would  - she’d make it lighter. Color was a real thing for her.

Oprah Winfrey’s Bitter Stepmother Spills the Mogul's Secrets!

In an explosive, exclusive interview with Daily Mail, Oprah Winfrey's  66-year-old stepmother, Barbara Winfrey, is spilling some family tea about Ms. Winfrey. And it is so messy!

According to Barbara, the Oprah we all see, beloved by millions is a world away from the real person she really is. That Oprah is manipulative and high-handed, treats family like staff and uses her wealth to control others. That Oprah Winfrey kicked her out of her home after 14 years, leaving her flat out homeless. That Oprah played in a huge part in ‘destroying’ her marriage to Oprah's father.

She also claims that Oprah, 60, and her long-term partner Stedman Graham, 63, are not bound by
romance but a pragmatic cocktail of shared secrets, convenience and money. She describes Oprah’s relationship with close confidante Gayle King, 59, as ‘bizarre’ and ‘unhealthy,’ and points to it as the reason that neither woman is married.

And at the heart of it all, Barbara claims, the ‘real Oprah’ -  hidden behind the image she projects so well – is a woman unhappy in her skin and, as Barbara has learned to her cost, unforgiving to those who inspire her wrath.

Barbara said told DailyMail:

‘You find out quickly where your place is with Oprah and you get in that place and you stay in that place. My crime, I think, was to talk to her like a normal person and she didn’t like that one bit. My husband once told me that just because someone gives you something does not mean they love you. He was talking about Oprah. 

Her brand is that she’s a nice, caring, generous, giving person. That’s not how it is. She’s controlling – it’s all about control. She has confidentiality agreements with pretty much everybody in her life. She has them sign their life away and she has them in her pocket. 

Everything comes with stipulations but she doesn’t tell you that and she doesn’t tell you what they are. Some people can have money and be mentally rich – secure in what they have I guess. But others, how can I put it…some people you can’t take the ghetto out of. That’s Oprah, it’s who she is and where she’s from. She had money, everybody was going to know it and see it. But she had to be in control.’

About Oprah throwing her out of her matrimonial home, according to Barbara, she wedded Vernon Winfrey, Oprah's father, 15 years after first meeting him - 17 June 2000. But their marriage fell apart when she discovered Vernon cheated on her with a prostitute named 'One Tooth.'

By her own admission Barbara struggled to cope with Vernon’s infidelity. She moved out of the marital bedroom but she was not, she insisted, looking to end her marriage. 
Barbara said:

‘Oprah is a woman who empowers women to be all they can be, to stand up against men who mistreat them. If she was a more decent person she would realize that what her dad did was very wrong instead of plotting against me and pushing me out of the scene.  

Vernon had been telling everyone he was unhappy with the marriage. He told Stedman and he told Oprah, so she came up with an escape plan I guess to get me out of the picture, make all the scandal of what he’d done go away.

Barbara claimed that Oprah pressed her dad Vernon to resolve the situation and divorce her. Even though they're divorced now, they still speak once a week, so she believes they would have stayed together had Oprah not intervened.

Oprah bought a home in Nashville back in 2000 for her dad and her stepmother as a wedding gift. Barb claims once she and her now ex-husband decided to split, Vernon convinced Oprah to take back the home she had gifted them. Barbara was served with an eviction notice earlier this month and has until May 29th to leave the $1.4 million Nashville home.

I have lost everything. It’s not just a house, this is my home. All my memories are here. I’m trying to keep it together but there are some days I just don’t understand how I could have made her so angry that she would kick me out on the street and think nothing about it. But that’s Oprah – she’s judge and jury.

“I know people have read about this and thought, “Who does she think she is? Why should she get a million dollar home? But can you see it’s not about that? It’s about everything that went before. Look at how she has treated me. I laid my head next to her father for 14 years and she never thought me worthy of talking to.

"Everyone remembers that Oprah went all out for Obama during the 2008 presidential election. What was not reported was that, in return, Oprah was promised unique access to the White House if Obama won. She’d get regular briefings on initiatives and a heads-up on programs to give her material for her fledgling cable network, OWN.

“Oprah intended to make her unique White House access a part of her new network,” a source close to Oprah told me. “There were big plans, and a team was put together to come up with proposals that would have been mutually beneficial. “But none of that ever happened. Oprah sent notes and a rep to talk to Valerie Jarrett, but nothing came of it. It slowly dawned on Oprah that the Obamas had absolutely no intention of keeping their word and bringing her into their confidence.”

Oprah did not campaign for Obama in the 2012 race, and she has been absent from his battles on gun control, immigration reform and the environment. She claims she is too busy to get involved in politics, even though she hosted a fund-raiser for Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who won a US Senate seat last week.

Oprah’s friends publicly dismiss the idea that she had a falling out with Obama. They note that she phoned Michelle Obama right after the 2012 election to congratulate her. They say Michelle invited her to have dinner with the first family. But the dinner never took place, and Oprah continues to be frozen out.

“Oprah was hoping there would be a genuine change in the atmospherics,” one of her friends told me. “But there hasn’t been. Clearly, she is being rebuffed at the level of Michelle and Valerie. And, just as obviously, President Obama hasn’t interfered on Oprah’s behalf.” During Obama’s first term, I argued in my book “The Amateur” that Michelle was jealous of Oprah, furious that he was seeking her advice.

“For her part, Oprah doesn’t like being with Michelle, because the first lady is constantly one-upping the president and anybody else around her,” said an Oprah adviser. “Oprah has struck back by banning the Obamas from her O, The Oprah Magazine . . . It probably hurts Oprah more than Obama, who, if he had his head screwed on straight, would have flown to California and begged Oprah to help him save ObamaCare.

“But Obama hasn’t budged, and neither has Oprah. She’s hurt and angry, and I seriously doubt that Oprah will ever make up with the Obamas. She knows how to hold a grudge.”

She earned $165 million from June 2011 to June 2012 according to Forbes, which is actually a massive fall from the $290 million she made in 2010. Media mogul Oprah Winfrey took a trip down to Barbados to hang out with island native Rihanna, but it wasn't just to catch up and soak in some sun (although we're not knocking those things off the list).

"Look who popped up in my Hometown BARBADOS #topnotch," Ri-Ri posted on her Instagram with a photo of herself driving Winfrey.
It turns out that Oprah made the visit for an upcoming interview special that will air on OWN, and also posted Instagram photos of her time there, including one of the duo looking as vibrant as ever while heading out of One Sandy Lane Villa, "@rihanna and I finishing up interview . What a refreshing surprise she is!"
The one-on-one interview for Oprah's Next Chapter, which will reminisce on the singer's journey to becoming a superstar will air on August 19.
