Wizkid Says He can't be bothered if people think he is arrogant

Wizkid has been constantly on the media lately, but this time he's been facing heat from critics regarding his supposed arrogance. In a new interview with Encomium mag, Wizkid said he doesn't care if people think he is arrogant, that he doesn't love everybody and so doesn't expect everybody to love him.

Asked if it bothers him that people think he's arrogant, Wizkid said;

"Bother me? Never! I am not bothered. Honestly I don't hear people saying it because anytime I go out, I show my fans great love. I do my thing. I don't have problem with that because I don't love everybody as well. So I don't expect everybody to love me too. That's life" ..
Asked if he is terrible person, Wizkid said;
"Terrible? Everyone has opinion about people. But when they say Wizkid is terrible, you need to ask them, "Why is Wizkid a terrible person? What did he do? For four years, I was making music with Samklef, everyone knew his house. I was going up and down, shouting, Samklef Nor Ni. That's me, I am just trying to be a good person. Whereas everyone cannot like you and everyone cannot hate you" he said.
Asked if fame has in anyway changed him, Wizkid said
"No, fame has not changed Wizkid. The only thing fame has changed in Wizkid is that I added some accessories. I have got nice chains, watches, and nice clothes. Asides that, I am still Wizkid. I no tall, still same height"
He also reacted to his recent controversy with singer Saeon,
"Oh really? She's bitter about it. I didn't see the allegation but I gave her hit song. I no try? I did my part. I was in the studio with her, gave her hit song. I no try. That's not even how much I charge for collaboration, I charge N10 million. I collected N1.5 million from her because of love. I was busy, I didn't want to do it" he said.
Asked about the comment that he doesn't charge those he loves, Wizkid said;
"Yeah I don't charge people I love. I said so but when someone is on your neck everyday for a collaboration and she offers you money, won't you collect it? If you fail to collect it, they start calling you terrible person. I am just trying to be a good guy"
On his fashion sense, Wizkid said;
"Fresh! Am I not looking fresh? I have always loved chains a lot. For me, I also see chains as investment because they ar gold and diamond. You can always sell anything gold and diamond. It is like an investment for me".
On why he loves to flaunt his accessories on social media, Wizkid said;
"You know now. I didn't have accessories when I started my career. Did you see me wearing bling-bling when I did Hola at your boi? No! I hustled to get money to buy them and there is no crime if I show it or flaunt it to my fans because they gave me money to buy them" he said
On where he invests his money, Wizkid said;
"I will say property but most importantly Jewelry. Do you know how much I can sell this chain on my neck when I get broke, God forbid? It's money and to me it's investment. I don't spend money on foolish things. I spend moderately. Besides I am a grown man. I have problems too. I have a child I am taking care of. I have responsibilities, believe it or not" he said
Asked if he is expecting another child, Wizkid said;
"Expecting wetin? Did I tell you I am expecting a child? Yes I didn't tell you guys when I was expecting my first child because people wanted to kill me but Honestly, nothing like that I am not expecting any child now"
Asked if he is getting married anytime soon, Wizkid hissed and said "Wedding? No!"

Young Money in house Rift?! Tyga Calls Drake fake . Ouch!

One could never believe there would me misunderstanding in the YMCMB , I always thought they were en-sync. Well, you never know.  In a new interview with Vibe Magazine, rapper Tyga slammed his label Young Money and label mate, Drake. Saying , he doesn't like Drake as a person but likes his music .. Read it below ..

"I’m tryna’ go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki. I don't like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda like we were forcing relationships together. It is what it is."

But I been friends with Chris [Brown] for like six years. That’s my real genuine friend. We hang out all the time. He lives up the street from me, so we don’t just do music we hang. I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship ‘cause Wayne put us together. At the end of the day the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki. It was because of Wayne and my relationship with him. I try to be cool with everybody, but sometimes, everybody just has different personalities, motives, and different characters. When you realize that, you realize that’s not a place where you want to continue to grow"

Drake's Moves :
Shortly after the interview got online, Drake went on instagram and liked several pictures of Tyga's baby mama, Blac Chyna ( See pics below ). I wonder what that was about maybe sarcasm or not, waiting for Nicki's response . interesting ...

Wizkid's former Producer Samklef says fame has changed the Star Boy

Popular music producer Samklef is not delighted with Wizkid. Samklef who produced Wizkid's hit single Tease Me and five other songs in Wizkid's first album, said the superstar singer has not only refused to work with him again, he's also going about dissing his (Samklef) talent.
"I'm not happy with Wizkid. I like his music, but I don't like him as a person anymore. The reason I don't like him anymore is, why do you go about spoiling other people's business? I never spoiled your business, never came out to say anything bad about you for four years. So why would you go to an OAP and tell the OAP that the reason why you no longer work with me is because my beat is amateur. What does that mean? Those amateur beats was what brought you to limelight, was what made you meet the same Akon who first dropped 'Don't Dull' on your voice." Samklef said.
I never downgraded him. I showed him love. I used to go to his house...but he never came to mine. He doesn't know my house. He hasn't even seen my son before. It means he doesn't regard me as a friend. I wanted to feature him in one of my songs but this guy kept posting me for years. That's not even why I am angry. I am angry because he's going about disrespecting my talent. Saying these things in public. It is annoying.
"I'm doing fine without Wizkid. I don't want to say I regret working with him but I'm thanking God that we are all alive. But ask him, the people you are going to feature in America, if they were like you, would you meet them?
"I wish him luck. I don't regret working with his talent, I only regret working with his person. His fame took him away. He forgot where he was coming from. His person is very disgusting. There's something we call the grace of God. Before Wizkid got to where he is today, somebody gave him a front line, somebody introduced him. He didn't just come from anywhere. Making music is not just about one person. Banky was there to give him the front line and others came to help out. I'm not the only one complaining, other producers are complaining. I don't want to call names but nobody is saying anything good about Wizkid and you call yourself a superstar when you keep matching other people down. What is the star about you? Is it because you are featuring other foreign artists? You are not the first to do that, others have done that before so why are you carried away?
"I don't want to do anything with Wizkid anymore. Keep it to yourself, keep your name. I have new friends and new family. But he can continue talking. We are listening. I don't wish him bad. He says my beat is amateur but watch out for Samklef." He said

"I want to Leave Music For Politics" - 9ice

In an interview with Sun News, 9ice says he plans to quit music to concentrate fully on politics because he can't be singing at 35. Is it bad to sing at 35? Read his statement below...

Yes, I want to leave music for politics. Next year January, I will be 35-years-old and I’m not praying to still be in music at that age. I am serious about politics now. If you listen to my music, you would notice that politics has been part of me; it’s in my blood. When I started initially, I talked about being your brother’s keeper, and that’s why I studied Law at Lagos State University before I dropped out to concentrate on my music career. I hate when things go wrong. When two or three people are having issues, I love to get there to settle their differences. I have passion for politics and it has always been in my blood."
If you go fully into politics, most of your friends and fans will miss you?
I will say they will love me more by the time they see the plans that I have for them. I have so many plans on my mind. Imagine if the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti was a politician, he will not just criticize the mistakes of our leaders but also correct them. Imagine if Wole Soyinka was to be the president of this nation, people like him are only preaching the truth and criticising the government but they are not ready to get into politics to make corrections. I am tired of preaching, I want to contribute my own quota for the sake of my people. We have graduates riding commercial motorcycles (okada), selling meat etc, their certificates are not being used but they are shouting that the government is not doing well. There can’t be any change if the youths don’t stand-up now to do something to help the country.

Actress Ayo Adesanya says "'I don't bleach, what I have is sun burn

Actress Ayo Adesanya who has been facing criticism for her skin tone by fans who say shes been bleaching , has come out to defend herself , says she doesn't bleach her skin. In an interview published on Punch today, Ayo said what she has is sun burns which most people confuse for skin bleaching ...

"No I do not bleach my skin. When you see somebody that bleaches, you will know. I have sun burns and it is not a hidden thing. I have tried a lot of things to make it fade away but it has refused and I have come to terms with it. I would never bleach my skin, a lot of people get confused about it but I don’t get bothered. I don’t owe anybody an explanation but when you meet me in person, you can always make up your mind"
What does she think of bleaching?
"Some people are naturally fair and the weather in Nigeria is terrible, it is just recently that we have been experiencing cool weather. The sun is usually very hot and it is bad for the skin. For someone like me, a lot of people are usually confused when they see my picture. They are quick to assume things and they do not know me personally. When you see people in pictures, don’t be too quick to judge, do you know how many lights are focused on the person while taking the picture? Because of the weather in this country, there are some lotions people use to enhance their skin and make it softer. There are some lotions that are not harmful but people have some misconception. The weather is very bad and it can affect one’s skin if care is not taken. I have friends that are fair in complexion and I know what they go through to maintain their complexion. If you do not maintain it, it would appear as if your skin is dirty. I don’t believe people should bleach personally." she saidm

Emma Nyra Explains Why she likes to expose her Cleavage

I thought it's a girl thing to show off cleavage o, am sure for a fact we men can't complain. In an interview with Encomium magazine this week, singer Emma Nyra explained why she likes to show off her cleavage. Read her response below ...
"It's not that I flaunt them but part of your selling point as a female artist is your body, your voice, your look, your hair, everything. Chidinma's lack of hair is her selling point, you understand. Each part of you is your selling point"
Asked why she flashes the boobs even though they are not big, Emma responded;
"Its confidence, you understand. Somebody like Toolz for example, her selling point is her body. Before her voice, it's her body. As a woman, her own packaging is always different. I have grown up to be comfortable with the way the skin is because I have accepted the fact that I can't change it, I have to accept the way I am. Men don't look at me, the women look at women. If I go out with or without makeup, a man will not notice. But if I go out and I see a woman, she will say Emma Nyra you are looking different from how I see you on TV. She would comment on everything to my eyebrow but a man won't look that deep unless he is into fashion and everything. I have learnt to accept myself. If you are not confident about yourself, people won't buy your brand" she said
On her opinion on bleaching, Emma said;
"I grew up with white people and I noticed that white people tan. They wanted to look like me whereas I wanted to look like them while growing up because I wanted to belong. This bleaching thing, Indians do it too, even Americans do it too. Its been so bad lately because the society's perception of beauty has to do with it. The lighter the better, whereas, in Europe, the darker the better. Dark hair, dark skin, its a kind of class. That's how they do their own class system. Our own is just, we have grown up watching aunties bleach. When I fist came to Nigeria, I went to a store and I couldn't find a regular cream, all I saw was whitening. I went to Dubai, the same thing. Indians and Arabs, they bleach. I am more concerned with clear skin, not light or dark or whatever because I grew up seeing girls wanting to be dark. So it didn't affect me that way. I don't support bleaching, I don't think it's right. Some people wear padded bra, some where padded bum. As a woman, you can choose whatever you want. You can change your nose, your breast, anything. But as for bleaching, because of the long term effect, I don't think it's good for you"
 Gbam! I totally agree .

"I wasn't hired by Nigerian Govt" hostage negotiator Stephen Davis allegedly says

Australian hostage negotiator Stephen Davis who has been widely described as a man hired by the Nigerian government to negotiate with Boko Haram in an effort to help free the Chibok girls, has allegedly said he was not in Nigeria (for four months) at the request of the federal government.

In an interview with Soni Daniel, which was published on Vanguard on Sunday, Stephen allegedly said he was never engaged by the Nigerian government to dialogue with the sect.
"I was not engaged by the Federal Government of Nigeria, any state government or any other party. I went to Nigeria in late April in an effort to facilitate a handover of the Chibok captives after discussing such a possibility with former commanders of JAS (Jama’atu Ahlul Sunnah Lih Da’awa wal Jihad otherwise known as JAS) and others close to Boko Haram. Why did you release the report of your assignment to the media instead of sending it to government? I did not construct a report of my efforts in Nigeria. As I said earlier, I was not engaged by any party and therefore had no obligation to report to anyone." .
Some Nigerians find it curious that you decided to give your report only to Arise TV, owned by a Nigerian, Nduka Obiagbena, who also owns Thisday Newspapers and may be sympathetic to some politicians in Nigeria.
"I gave a radio interview to the ABC in Australia which subsequently told me that after the transcript was posted to their online site, it had been picked up in the UK and Sky News requested an interview. In the hope of bringing attention to the many other girls and boys kidnapped by Boko Haram, I agreed to a television interview. That interview took place in Channel 7 studios in Australia and it was at that point that I was told it was an interview with Arise TV. I had not heard of Arise TV and did not know it was owned by a Nigerian or indeed that it had any association with Nigeria. At the time of giving the TV interview, I was of the understanding that it would be broadcast by Sky News in the UK. On Mr Obiagbena, I have not met him or ever been contacted by him.

Many Nigerians find it extremely difficult to understand how the former Chief of the Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ihejirika, who actually fought Boko Haram elements and was accused of genocide could be linked with sponsoring the violent group.
It is much easier to understand Mr Sheriff’s alleged association with Boko Haram than any association of Mr Ihejirika. Mr Sheriff was said to have a long history of promoting groups to assist in his past efforts to win the governorship of Borno State. On 29 July 2009, there was a confrontation with security officers at Mamudo Village, along Potiskum/Damaturu Road, Yobe. 33 JAS members were killed. Later that night, there was a long battle with combined security operatives at Railway Terminus, Maiduguri, Borno State. Scores were killed and the JAS operational base was destroyed. Yusuf was subsequently captured by the military and handed over to the police.

The JAS alleged that it was on Sheriff’s orders that Yusuf was executed in Maiduguri on 30 July 2009. Shekau was presumed killed in the same battle and a corpse was identified as that of Shekau. Thus the remaining JAS leaders made it clear their intention was to kill Sheriff and so it is right that Sheriff claims he is a victim of JAS. The Boko Haram we see today is not the JAS that was operational under Yusuf. Shekau emerged in mid-2010 and publicly claimed the leadership of a reinvigorated JAS. Shekau formed Ansaru which he used for kidnapping and beheading victims.

This behaviour was a major departure from the original mandate of the JAS which was to purify Islam and return it to the behaviour example in the life of the Prophet. Many among the JAS leadership are no longer active and others have been killed. This has allowed Shekau to take the JAS to more extreme action and expanded the kidnapping, bombing and slaughtering.

The Boko Haram we have today is a much expanded Ansaru. What we see now is not the Yusufiya which wanted very much to settle scores with Sheriff. It is Boko Haram as a partner to ISIS and Al Shabaab. Now I will offer an opinion as to the motives of the sponsors of Boko Haram.The political sponsors of Boko Haram seem to think that they can use Boko Haram to terrorise Nigeria to demonstrate that the current government cannot ensure the security of Nigerian citizens both Muslim and Christian. Therein the sponsors assume they can undermine any efforts of the current government to be re-elected in 2015. Herein lies the flaw for the conflict and instability currently being fanned suits the aims of Al Qa’eda and the architects of terrorism.

Should the sponsors of Boko Haram win government in 2015, they will likely find that they cannot turn Boko Haram off or that Boko Haram will demand control of at least Borno State in return for reducing their attacks. Borno State may be just the beginning of an expanding caliphate.

Several Boko Haram commanders and other persons close to and respected by Boko Haram have told me the names of some of the sponsors of Boko Haram. They have also described how some funds are transferred and arms made available. I have made public some of that information. I have also been told by some commanders that if one of the sponsors is arrested, they will surrender, release the girls and give information on the sponsors.

Not all Boko Haram commanders will follow this lead but it may be a firm step towards dismantling or at least isolating Boko Haram.

"I am not gay" - Mr Universe Nigeria says

In an interview with The Nation, current Mr Universe Nigeria, Francis Egwuatu, said that because he went for a male pageant doesn't mean he's gay...
"I am not gay, and it is very annoying when people make such comments. There was this girl that added me on twitter. She was like; ‘Tell me the truth, are you gay?’ It was so annoying. Some people think that for you to win the pageant you must be gay and men must sleep with you and all, but that’s not true. I just wish I could do a story and the heading will just be ‘I am not gay’. People have concluded in their mind that we are gays. Even when I was profiled on Linda Ikeji’s blog, there were comments like, gay alert; the guy is gay and all that. People feel if you are a male pageant contestant, the only hard work you need to do is to sleep in the room. That’s a negative thought, but I believe a person with a positive thought won’t think like that. For me, you just have to be positive; you just have to believe in yourself. I have gone for pageants that I lost (Mr. Tourism Nigeria), but that didn’t stop me from going for more.
What does he think of gays? Find his answer below ...

What do you think about gays?
Actually, it’s bad in our country. It’s not right; God has made it a man to woman, not a man to man or woman to woman. It’s very wrong, just like its meant to be a negative to positive not positive to positive or a negative to negative, it’s quite bad, I don’t think it’s cool.

Chris Brown Grant's Post-Jail Interview . Talks Rihanna, His Experience & Lessons learnt .

Ever since his release from jail, the public and media have been keen on getting the juicy details of his experiences through the recent turn of events , which includes his love triangle and mental health issues. Chris Brown decided to grant his first Post-jail interview, where he opened up to Billboard on his experience in jail and why Rihanna will always remain a part of his story. Read excerpts below

On the the daily routine in Jail..
A guard wakes you up; you eat. You stay in your cell most of the time, basically 24 hours a day. Maybe on Mondays you go to the roof inside of a cage and have a phone call. It’s isolation. You have time to focus on what matters, on what to do and what not to do.My maturity level has risen as far as my realizing what’s important. Realizing that I’m human like everyone else. At the end of the day, it’s just a humbling experience. You’re more appreciative of everything else that’s on the outside. A burger tastes 1,000 times better when you’re out (Laughs.) I’m just more appreciative of the things I’m blessed with and the things I do: music, being able to take care of my family, being able to see my friends and family. And do what I love and still be able to do it in a timely fashion to where people don’t think, “Oh well, he fell off.” Still being able to be consistent.
On what he missed while in Jail

"I just missed my family. At the end of the day, music is definitely a passion. But when you’re dealing with your own personal issues, family is first. I just dealt with that. I missed my dad and mom, all my cousins ... seeing people’s faces and smiles ... seeing people who were just encouraging and positive.
When asked if there will be a day his relationship with Rihanna won't be brought up..
When we’re not relevant anymore, that might be the case. As long as you’re doing something good, people will always bring up old stuff or negative stuff because they don’t want you to surpass a certain level or elevate. But as long as you have your head on straight, it shouldn’t matter what people want to say.

"I'm tired of being called gay"-Ik Ogbonna cries out

Like his colleagues and friends Uti and Alex Ekubo, Ik Ogbonna has always been labeled to be gay. Even when he flaunts a lady, some say he is trying to cover up .He opened up on his frustration to Punch

“I am tired of the gay rumours trailing me. You can never pick out any man with whom I have had an affair in the past, but you can link me to some of the ladies I have dated. It is funny because I am sometimes called a ladies’ man and at times rumoured to be a gigolo – gay.
These three things do not relate to one another. “That I have chosen to adopt the UK style of dressing, which typically comprises tight pants, should not make me gay. The fact that I have friends in the industry that I choose to hang out with should not make me a gay. I really don’t care about what people think of my personal life. I can’t spot anyone as being gay in the industry and I don’t see anything wrong with two guys or ladies being close friends. Until I am approached by a guy or I see guys getting down together then I can conclude that he is gay.”
On why he flaunts his relationship on social media
“A lot of celebrities do not want anyone to know they are in a relationship for several reasons or out of fear. I don’t put out pictures for anyone to draw conclusions or create any form of illusion. As far as you are human, you must feel love at some point in time. I might be seeing someone and she is Columbian.
“A lot of people say that I will lose fans because I posted a picture of another lady on my Instagram account. I don’t have any reason to hide my affair. It is a good thing and even God in heaven smiles at it. I will try to flaunt it as much as I can. But right now, I am not ready for marriage.”

Omoni Oboli Talks about her supposed beef with Genevieve Nnaji

In a recent visit to the corporate office of iCampus Newspaper, Omoni opened up
“I can’t place my fingers on when the supposed “beef “started but one thing I know is that, there is no problem between Genevieve and I . We did not have any issue or problem whatsoever.We are not enemies, neither are we friends. We are colleagues, a senior one at that, we greet each other when we see; it is not like we visit each other at home.” Continue...
Speaking on the real cause of the rumoured animosity, Omoni who recently became a director and producer said;
"I acted a movie, Anchor Baby, the director (Lonzo Nzekwe) of the movie granted an interview and said Omoni Oboli is the best actress in Nigeria. Some bloggers lashed on it and said Omoni Oboli is better than Genevieve and Omotola. The next thing was that people started writing about a supposed ‘beef ‘with her. I cannot get the reason they didn’t write about beef with Omotola. In my opinion, someone somewhere was just being mischievous. I have absolutely no problem with her, and I believe she has no problem with me.”

"When my mates were carrying designer bags & taking vacations,I wasn't"-Mercy Johnson

Mercy Johnson opened up on success and what it takes to get there.She told City People
‘’Success is hard, it’s never easy. It takes more than luck to make the right decisions and the right choices. A lot of people have actually been acting before me, but they are just nowhere close. It’s not because I am better, it’s grace; but, really, success is hard. It takes a lot of hard work. At the point when my mates were carrying designer bags, I didn’t know what designer bags were. At the point at which they were wearing Brazilian hair, I didn’t know what Brazilian hair was. I was kind of laid-back. I was a step or two behind, because I was working so hard.
I didn’t take vacations; I didn’t have time for all of that. I just wanted to be on location, so I could sell what I had. I wanted people to see what I could do. So, [at] every point in time, I was busy. I was so excited to work at every time. So, it’s like success is hard. You really have to work hard; you really have to sweat to achieve what you want."

Genevieve Nnaji reveals Why I didn't become a Glo Ambassador

Genevieve was approached by GLO sometime ago with offers of being their brand ambassador , It came as a surprise to many when she was signed on by Etisalat. They were reports that the deal didn't pull through because she referred them to her manager and even when Mike Adenuga personally called her, she said the same.She told PMnews...

"First of all, that is not true as I never spoke to Dr. Mike Adenuga. In fact, it will be a honour to speak with him. However, let us face the subject of speaking with my manager. I think it is professional that managers should be contacted when issues about business are about to be discussed. I am not saying that was the issue with that particular brand. But let’s assume it was; is there any problem speaking with someone’s management? Please tell me.Truly I was approached. We had negotiations but things didn’t work out and everyone moved on. It is simple.

Davido addresses beef with Wizkid, says he was upset about Wizkid's shade

In an exclusive interview with Sahara TV, Davido, who is currently in the US, said his recent online beef with Wizkid was because of the shade Wizkid threw regarding their concerts in the US...
"It's not beef at all..but I'm the type of person if I feel something..to me everything you do, you don't hit your brother down. This is the first time I'm saying this but the only reason I was upset was because of the NY concert. I was even going to tweet like you know 'make sure everybody turn up for my brother Wizkid's concert' and he threw a shade like that. I'm not going to take that...that's why I went and said what I said. But it's all cool, at the end of the day, we got to keep it on the music. Shout out to him. I'm still a big fan. It was never nothing but don't throw a shade at me...especially when we were on the flight earlier. By the way, check the numbers on my last concert. Let's leave it like that.." David said.
