Katy Perry destroyed a 5-year-old kid's birthday party to film scenes for her new music video

Katy Perry made children cry after gatecrashing a five-year-old's birthday party. awwww . (I bet that wasn't her intent )

The Dark Horse hit-maker dressed up as a clown for the video for her track Birthday and carried out a prank at a party, where she attacked a man with a piñata stick and staged a car accident, but the spoof incident left children in tears.

Eye witnesses told TMZ that Katy pranked a real birthday party and most of the guests had no idea it was a joke.

Children were crying and one woman "stormed away" visibly upset by her antics.

A teaser for the video: The hidden camera gag was shot at Knollwood Country Club outside Los Angeles and a video obtained by the website shows one little girl saying, "Mommy, I want to leave."

During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Katy spoke about going "undercover" at the bash, but didn't mention the fall out.

Speaking earlier this week, she said: "I just did a music video completely undercover as five of the world's worst birthday entertainers, because I was sick of making gorgeous music videos where I'm sexual."

Jimmy joked: "People are sick of that, yeah, really tired of looking at you." ( like seriously , who gets tired of looking at Katy, that person must have a disorder , even the Lion in her "Roar" video was spell bound )

The Kimmel interview:
  Katy, 29, then previewed a clip of the video which sees her dressed as a clown drinking and burping, saying: "I'm not really a birthday party entertainer, I'm just trying to get some cash on the side,'' adding, ''Happy birthday kids."

The 'Where Have You Been' singer was a surprise arrival to the pre-release party for Katy's third studio album 'Prism', and the two looked to be having a great time in the Big Apple after sharing a snap of Rihanna sat on Katy's lap.

The party came shortly after the 'Califronia Gurls' singer turned out to a fan event to promote newly unveiled single 'Roar' from the back of a 18-wheeler golden truck.

Katy made time to stop and chat with fans at the promotional event in the Big Apple, dressed up in a blue satin jacket emblazoned with the official artwork for the song, over the top of an eye-catching red velvet dress. .. The Firework singer was brought up in a strict Christian household and didn't “go to school much” because her family moved around the US when she was younger, and her education suffered as a result.

She told US Vogue: “I have a problem reading ... I wasn't going to great schools, because my parents didn't believe in public education. They wanted the education to be influenced by their religion, so I was going to these halfway education-slash-Christian schools that were like pop-up shop-style education.”

A source told the MailOnline.com that the 24-year-old star feels "incredibly down right now and betrayed" at rumours of a romance between her ex-boyfriend and the Firework singer, who have been close friends for several years.

The insider claims that Kristen has cut off all ties with Katy and still hopes Robert will want to get back together with her, explaining: "Kristen is in a certain state of denial. She can't let go of Rob or get over him.

Katy Perry pulls away from Rihanna because of Chris ?

Katy Perry has distanced herself from former best friend Rihanna since she reunited with Chris Brown.
The Bajan singer and her R&B star boyfriend, who was found guilty of assaulting her in 2009, confirmed speculation of their reconciliation by appearing together at the Grammy’s.

But her famous friends don’t approve of the reunion. According to sources close to the singer, Katy reportedly “doesn’t approve” of her relationship with Brown.
"They aren't tight anymore because Katy doesn't approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown," an insider told Us Magazine.
Katy is said to be so upset with her friend’s decision that she even requested that she be seated far away from the high profile couple at the music ceremony on Sunday night.

While their Hollywood pals might not approve, Rihanna seems happy with her decision – so much so, that she wants Chris to “man up” and propose to her.
At the Grammy Awards, they hugged and joked during the ceremony, while she accompanied him to a court probation hearing earlier this month. Rihanna has made no secret of her feelings for Chris and wants him to show the world he is equally serious about her.

Although Rihanna appeared calm and collected as she attended Chris’ recent court hearing, insiders insist it took a lot out of her. Prosecutors have accused Chris of submitting fraudulent documents logging court-ordered community service hours following his 2009 conviction for assaulting Rihanna.
“Even though she just put on a brave face, she was taking really deep breaths and even shaking a little. She had mixed emotions about it,” an insider revealed. “On one hand, she felt it was a big step for her and Chris.
