News - @MI_Abaga, @NaetoC, @WikidAyo, @eLDeeTheDon, others gather for Hennessy Artistry

The sixth edition of the annual music platform, Hennessy Artistry is gradually getting to its peak. Last weekend, Hennessy lovers, music fans and celebrities came out in their numbers to be a part of the fun and excitement courtesy Hennessy Cognac.

The first ever performance of the Hennessy Artistry 2012 theme song, “Bartender” brought celebrities of the highest level in the entertainment industry together; with guests including Wizkid, Jide Adenuga, Skales, eLDee, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Steel, Toolz, Audu Maikori, Majid Michel, AY and many more.


 
  
Hennessy Artistry 2012 headliners, M.I and Naeto C gave an epic performance of the Hennessy Artistry 2012 theme track “Bartender”.
Also on the audience’s request, M.I drove guests wild as he performed his old hit track; “Anoti” while Naeto C capped it with an electrifying performance of his monster hit “Kini Big Deal” – the encore was well deserved.
“We only aim for the best… we promised fans an amazing time and with the reception Naeto C and I received, I can only say thank you to Hennessy for making this happen.” M.I says.

Supporting acts, 2Face’s protégé DammyKrane performed his hit track, “My Dear” and got the audience cheering loudly. Rave of the moment, Burna Boy also performed two of his hit singles, “Like to Party” and “Bend your Knees” to an ecstatic crowd. Guests also partied all night to DJ Neptune’s powerful mixes.
“We are really grateful to everyone who came out to see M.I and I perform the “Bartender” track for the first time. This is just the tip of the ice berg, Watch out for the Hennessy Artistry train as we will shake up the Federal capital, Abuja next week.” Naeto C says.
Other celeb guest include Flowssick, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Orezi, Tee A, Gbenro, Ms Jaie, DJ Exclusive, DJ Caise and many others.

And the tour is not over yet. M.I and Naeto C will shut down Abuja
this weekend for their second Hennessy Artistry club appearance. The all night event, which will hold at Cubana Nightclub, promises Hennessy fans a memorable experience.

New Video : M.I & Naeto C – Bartender [Hennessy Artistry Theme Song]

M.I and Naeto C continue their historic Hennessy Artistry outing with an incredible video directed by music video maestro Clarence Peters. The video is exciting and unpredictable, with the kind of elevated style that Hennessy is known for. “Bartender” is the anthem of the summer and nothing short of this would have been appropriate.
“It’s the perfect video for a song that’s already receiving critical and commercial acclaim across Nigeria, and I’m certain fans of Hennessy, Clarence Peters, M.I and Naeto C will love this”, says Hennessy Marketing Manager Tokini Peterside.
Clarence Peters, the ace video director who has worked closely with all of Nigeria’s best musicians, says, “It’s a collage of different set pieces, with emphasis on Hennessy culture, styling and values. Hennessy is a very premium brand, and the headliners – M.I and Naeto C – are also top notch. So we’ve created something that complements the brand and personalities while making sure it’s fun and spontaneous. In the video, everyone just blends and flows, and I’m sure the fans will like the result!”.

“The video is bright and brilliant. It’s wonderful”, says Tee-Y Mix who produced the song and also had a cameo in the video. “It was exciting for me to watch Clarence bring my sound to life on screen. He is very talented.”
Following the video release, the Hennessy Artistry Club Tour will kick off on August 31, 2012 and will hold in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
Joining M.I and Naeto on the Club Tour, will be a group of Nigeria’s most promising artistes.
Fans spent weeks voting for the following acts – Burna Boy, Chuddy K, DammyKrane, Dpzle, Flowssick, L.O.S, Ms. Jaie, Rayce, Solidstar, Tilla Man, Tunde Ednut and Vector. The final list of selected acts will be revealed to the public next week.

PHOTOS - Naeto C & MI Cooking Up The Hennessy Artistry Theme Track! Drops This Friday


The long-awaited Hennessy Artistry 2012 collaboration track from Nigeria’s favourite rappers, M.I and Naeto C is set to drop this Friday!
Following the announcement of M.I and Naeto C as this year’s Hennessy Artistry headliners, Hennessy revealed, early this week, that the rap superstars have completed the Hennessy Artistry theme song which is an integral part of the project.
This exciting collaboration, which has led to massive speculation and buzz online and on the airwaves since the announcement, is now set to be released to fans who have been waiting to see both rappers come together on a song.
“We are all set to give our fans and Hennessy lovers some seriously good music, good shows and an all-round amazing experience on this year’s Hennessy Artistry project. This track, our first major collaboration as a duo, is only the beginning, and I’m really glad that Hennessy made it happen.” M.I says.
The Hennessy Artistry 2012 track was produced by Tee-Y Mix, with co-production by M.I and Naeto C, who paid close attention to every detail. The track will premiere on The Beat 99.9 FM’s Midday Show on Friday August 3, and will be available for fans online to play or download via www.facebook.com/HennessyNigeria;
M.I and Naeto C will also star in the Hennessy Artistry 2012 music video, after which a Club Tour of the leading clubs in Lagos and Abuja will begin. Hennessy Artistry has begun the search for the supporting acts on this Club Tour, and music lovers have already begun to send in their votes. The Club Tour will begin at the end of August, and fans can vote for the following acts – Burna Boy, Chuddy K, DammyKrane, Dpzle, Flowssick, L.O.S, Ms. Jaie, Rayce, Solidstar, Tilla Man, Tunde Ednut and Vector –  at Facebook.com/HennessyNigeria.
