US rapper Wale explains why he's never been to Nigeria until now

In a radio chat with Toolz on Beatfm yesterday, Wale said the reason he's never been to Nigeria until now was because his parents, who are both from Ondo state, were so poor they couldn't afford to bring him home. Read it below

"I grew up poor. We lived in DC, in the projects. Getting a ticket to Nigeria on $20, 000 income yearly, to my family that wasn't really... you know...like I was a 15 year old with a decent job, I'm not going to save up to go to Nigeria. That wasn't what I was thinking when I was that age. And then I was in college and the money tight right then. And then I get this record deal when I dropped out of school, you're running around so much you don't even have time to see your own parents"

DJ humility, slams US rapper Wale on Twitter

DJ Humility's outburst most likely has something to do with Wale's absence at Ice Prince's concert last night. Guess he was pained from a first hand knowledge of the actual reason Wale didn't show up because if you ask me Wale's reason for not coming didn't make much sense but he's going to be here for sure next weekend November 30th for the Johnnie Walker event.

It certainly looks like WizKid is full blown international now as it was revealed a few weeks ago that he’ll be on a few tracks with Young Jeezy & The Game. It doesn’t end there, as based on some tweet-watching we did there is reason to believe Wale & WizKid might be cooking up something too.
Word on the tweet street is there might be a remix to the Maybach hit track, Bag of Money [Bag Of Naira if you will] but we’re not sure if this is what WizKid will be on or if there’s a new track, but whatever the case is, we dey here dey observe.
