Chocolate City and Brymo Set To Return To Court

The battle between Chocolate City and their former Artist, Brymo is set to continue at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos as they will return to court on January 14th, 2014.

The case was adjourned until 14th of January, after the presiding judge was unavoidable absence at the court leading to the suspension of the case. The case reportedly has been adjourned twice following the November 11 adjournment before this latest one.
The issue between the two is as a result of Brymo’s unceremonious exit from the record label, and there were a lot of words being thrown around from members of both parties. The notable was Brymo calling out Chocolate City Boss, Audu Maikori, and saying he’s threatening people trying to work with Brymo.
Really hope they resolve the issue

+IcePrince Zamani has announced that former lawmaker and chief of staff to the Edo State Governor, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, popularly known for his jaw breaking words will be hosting the Fire Of Zamani Concert which will hold on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Eko Hotel & Suites in V/I, Lagos.

 

Some of Nigerian music's finest will join Ice Prince, Wale and Chip at the FOZ concert. They include Chocolate City's VP, +MI Abaga , +Burna Boy , +Olamide YBNL , +Yung eL , Loopy Music’s +Ruby Gyang Ruby Gyang among other artistes featured on the Fire Of Zamani album. 

Brymo called out ChocCity boss Audu Maikori on Twitter + See court Injunction

Hnmmm shit really hit the fan on this one .. cant really say , both parties  I have a connection with to some extent so cant particularly be on any side ..but am of the opinion that ,  Bros Audu shld at least make the injuction a bit flexible .. Brymo is talented and the industry is highly competitive, just a year out of market can mess one up .. Brymo has released a new album and rumour have it that its a loveable one .. so we can always buy as encouragement ..

Jesse Jagz Leaves ChocolateCity ??

His Official statement below;

I, Jesse Garba Abaga (also known as “Jesse Jagz”) an artist formerly signed to Chocolate City Music label hereby wishes to notify my fans and the general public about my voluntary exit from the label.
After my initial two year contractual agreement with Chocolate City, I do not wish to renew my contract with them and as such have proceeded to continue my music career with my new team at Jesse Jagz Nation. I still maintain a cordial relationship with the management of Chocolate City and my former label mates and I wish them the best in all their future endeavors. CHOCOLATE CITY SIGNS NEW ACT; @VICTORIA_KIMAN

News just reaching us states that Chocolate City Group, the label that is home to MI, Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz, Brymo, Nosa and Pryse has signed another artiste to it’s rooster. The artiste in question is Kenyan born Victoria Kimani. This announcement was made by Chocolate City executive Audu Makori at a media parley held today.

Ms Kimani started writing, recording and performing at 16, Lived in Nigeria her high school years, and moved back to Nairobi, Kenya at 17. Since then, she has been back and forth between LA, ATL, NY and London. In 2009 she joined a duo called Club Embassy and released a mixtape called Diplomatic Immunity hosted by 50 cent’s DJ Whoo Kid, it got over 250,000 downloads. In mid 2010 the duo split and began working on solo projects.
Victoria has collaborated with Ron Browz, Maino, Jadakiss, Dj green Lantern, Busta Rhymes, Mario Winans, Cassie, Lloyd, A.I, Chris Brown, Diggy Simmons, Timati, Timbaland, White Nerd, Andy Chatterly, Pete “Boxta” Martin, Devyne Stevens, Konvict Music, Space Cowboy, Dawaun Parker, Diane Warren, Bamboo and Kimya.
