NEW VIDEO: (OFFICIAL TRAILER) 'NORMAL DUBZ' - KING ZAMIR

On July 17, King Zamir is launching his first official music video for “Normal Dubz”, a track that was released mid-February. For those who missed it, Yung L.O.S. rebranded as King Zamir earlier this year, to kick-start his solo project, where “Normal Dubz” is his first official single release. The music video was shot by Duks of DuksArt, and includes some unexpected and elaborate special effects! Duks also edited Dr. Sid’s “Surulere”, as well as Muna’s “No Tomorrow”, but “Normal Dubz” is the first music video Duks produced entirely, from conception over direction, all the way to editing. King Zamir (or Yung), together with Bridge, Tomi Thomas and BrisB, is part of the Loud On Sound (L.O.S.) collective, known for the smash hit “Bad Guy P”. 

When the four moved to different parts of the world for their university studies in 2012, King Zamir, Tomi Thomas, BrisB and Bridge all decided to pursue their solo projects. 

“Normal Dubz” is Zamir’s first official release, which has gotten a lot of attention from music heads, with airplay across Nigeria, in SA and in the UK. See music video trailer below ..

SYNOPSIS: The Death Sentence is a film motivated by the knowledge-gap noticed across Africa as a continent on the issue of HIV/AIDS which most times leads to stigmatization;prevents people from going for testing and counseling and sometimes suicide due to stigmatization as seen in some cases. Its a story on the struggles and travails of a young man erroneously diagonised of having HIV/AIDS and all he went through in the hands of people. A man's enemies are those of his household. The film is written and produced by Busayo Eniyansoro and directed by Akinyele Akinleye.

FALSE ALARM - No student died at a Lagos hotel. The real story behind the photo that went viral

Last week the pic above went viral with many blogs claiming that another student was found dead in a hotel in Lagos. The report claimed that the victim is a girl named Florence Ngwu, a 300L student of University of Nigeria. Well, no such thing happened in reality. This is a photo from a movie called "Murder at Prime Suite Hotel", a fiction but similar to the Cynthia Osogwu murder story.

The character's name is Florence Ngwu played by an actress. The movie stars Joseph Benjamin and Chelsea Eze. The producers of the movie have released a statement. See it below

Murder At Prime Suite (MAPS): A movie not another social crime

Over the last weekend, news broke out on the Internet about a certain girl, Florence Ngwu, murdered at prime suite, Lagos. We have tried to put a stop to the rumour but it keeps going viral.

I am Jumafor Ajogwu and I am the producer of the movie called, “Murder at Prime Suite” (MAPS). The movie featured stars like Joseph Benjamin, Keira Hewatch, Chelsea Eze, Okey Uzoeshi and a host of other talented upcoming acts. I want to categorically state to the general public that this is a movie; it is not a real life incident. This  movie would premiere nationwide on the 30^th of August, 2013 at Genesis Deluxe Cinemas, Lekki Lagos. We cannot trace how the rumour leaked as we had several journalists on our set during principal photography but we want to put a stop to this rumour and make every Nigerian and the rest of the world know that it is a movie and not another incident like the rumour claimed.

The movie is a total fiction and a C&C Screen production’s vision to promote the value for Nigerian lives. Florence Ngwu is a character in our movie and every other character or things in the movie do not represent any true identity of living or dead.

“Streets of Calabar“, the thriller by former CNN & BBC journalist Charles Aniagolu is set to hit cinemas soon.
The movie which stars Rita Dominic, Anthony Ofoegbu, Wale Ojo, Maynard Eziashi, Keppy Ekpenyong, Gordon Case, Vicqui Christie and Lisa Kill is described as an “explosive comedy thriller“.

The Synopsis – “Streets of Calabar”

Chuks Oti, mixed-race 419 (advance fee fraud) scammer and illegal immigrant recently deported back to his home country Nigeria from London. Once there he manages to wangle his way out of a possible jail term and ends up in the holiday resort city, Calabar, living with his loyal, much younger British girlfriend Margaret, who insisted on travelling with him to Nigeria.

Chuks takes on menial jobs to make ends meet, but life is difficult. When he runs into his old 419 mate, Mike, a Nigerian pleasure seeker who is full of wild energy and loves to take risks, the two down-on-their-luck friends, with no jobs and no prospects, soon find themselves back in the criminal world.

They become enveloped in a web of scams and danger presided over by the mysterious De Don, leader of a gang of underground arms and drug dealers, who’s hatched an evil plan to takeover the peaceful streets of Calabar.

Chuks and Mike are forced to become part of a dangerous covert police mission led by two internationally trained detectives to stop De Don and keep the streets of Calabar free of crime. But they soon find themselves the targets, as the evil De Don suspects a double cross.

Pursued across the breathtaking scenery of Cross River State by De Don and his guards as well as a raging group of Cameroonian “yardies”, not to mention one very pissed off cattle herdsman, time ticks down to an explosive climax.
