The "costly photo" was sold to the National Enquirer by an undisclosed family member and they released it on their front cover today. RIP to Legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta. Dies at 82

The world of fashion and creative art has lost one of the greatest couturians of history. A man , a legend and an expert in the feminine form. Legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta was 82 years when he was announced dead. According to a statement released by his family, he died at home yesterday evening in his home in Kent, Connecticut surrounded by family. The statement didn't specify his cause of death but he'd been battling cancer for a while.

"While our hearts are broken by the idea of life without Oscar, he's still very much with us. Oscar's hard work, his intelligence and his love of life are at the heart of our company. We will make Oscar very proud of us by continuing in an even stronger way the work that Oscar loved so much" the statement read.

He worked as a designer for Balenciaga, Lanvin, Elizabeth Arden before launching his label in 1965. He rose to fame in the U.S. for dressing First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. He's designs were for ever classic, and was a specialist when it came to ball dresses

He's survived by a wife, a son, stepchildren and step grandchildren. May his soul rest in peace . see some of his works below ..

Joan Rivers' doctor 'took a selfie with unconscious star'

Wow! Even at the brink of death someone was busy thinking of a selfie with the Talk Show star. Reports have it that Joan Rivers' personal doctor took a selfie while the comedian was under anesthesia and the physician was set to perform an unauthorized biopsy, a report has claimed.
The incident allegedly occurred in Manhattan's York-ville ¬Endoscopy shortly before Rivers, 81, underwent a procedure on her vocal chords that led to her suffering a cardiac arrest, CNN reports.
Investigators have been informed of the incident by a member of staff at the clinic, according to the broadcaster, which also claims that gastroenterologist Dr Lawrence Cohen finished his work on the star shortly before her unidentified personal physician performed the biopsy.
However, just before performing the procedure, it is claimed that the physician took out his camera to take a picture of himself alongside Rivers, who was unconscious at the time.
During the subsequent biopsy, Rivers suddenly went into cardiac arrest, with investigators believing that her vocal chords began to swell, thereby cutting off oxygen to her lungs.
Earlier this week, a voice recording emerged of Rivers complaining of trouble with her vocal chords.
She can be heard saying: "I told [you] I didn't feel good. My voice has been bothering me. I don't know what it is (...) I feel like shit. I'm tired already."
Later, she said: "That's it - I don't feel good."

Joan Rivers, talk show host, red-carpet critic and an actress, she rose to the top of the comedy's ranks and unapologetically tongue lashed everyone and everything that crossed her path. Joan was ( sucks to refer to her as past tense ) the commander in chief of the fashion police team that aired on E! She passed on today, Thursday , Sept 4th, 2014, in New York following complications from a medical procedure. She was 81 years old. Her daughter,Melissa confirmed this in a statement

Robin Williams had 'Serious Money troubles' after $30m divorce

We have all been wondering why a rich, successful ,loved superstar and legend would take his own life. New reports have revealed things were not all peaches as it seemed for the 63 year old..

Police confirmed this afternoon that Williams died by hanging. His wife Susan Schneider last saw him when she went to bed at 10pm Sunday. He went to a different bedroom and she believed he was still asleep when she left the house the next morning about 10.30am.

An assistant, worried when he couldn't be roused at 11.45am, and broke into the bedroom. The assistant called 911 at 11:55am, emergency personnel arrived at noon, and at 12:02 he was pronounced dead.

In addition to hanging himself, he had superficial cuts on his body and police found a pocketknife with what appeared to be dried blood nearby. Toxicology reports are pending and will take two to six weeks.

He had ‘Serious money trouble’ after $30million divorce bills, a stint in rehab just weeks ago - and ‘depressed’ his TV show was axed in May.
His publicist also revealed Williams had been 'battling severe depression of late.'

The star also admitted that he was troubled by his finances. He was reportedly forced to pay $30million during his 2008 divorce from his second wife Marsha Garces, the film producer who is mother to his first two children, and first wife Valerie Velardi.

Last year, he admitted that he was selling his $35million Napa estate because he could no longer afford it. He listed it in April for $29.9million - a $5million markdown from what he paid for it.

He told Parade magazine last September

 'The idea of having a steady job is appealing... There are bills to pay.'My life has downsized  in a good way. I’m selling the ranch up in Napa. I just can’t afford it anymore.'

'The last time I saw Robin was over the weekend, we would catch up on the street, just casual.He was very drawn and thin, he did not look like the Robin who first moved into this community many years ago.He was a shell of himself, exhausted and not in the best spirits, but still the nice guy I had always known. There seemed to be something on his mind.He was not at all like his stage persona, that was not the Robin I knew. He was more quiet and down-to-earth, not over-the-top like he was in the movies. He listened well.

'He was often quiet and very private.‘The last time I saw him he seemed to be in a bad place emotionally.'

Glee star’s boyfriend found dead in hotel room

Glee star Becca Tobin's boyfriend, Matt Bendik, was found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room on Thursday, Matt, a nightclub owner, was said to be traveling with Becca at the time but it is unknown whether or not she found the body. This tragic news follows on from the death of Glee star Cory Monteith who was engaged to Lea Michele. Monteith died from a heroin and cocaine overdose and was similarly found dead in his hotel room. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Becca and Matt's family. At this point, cause of death remains unknown.

Singer Kefee has passed on ,management releases official statement confirming her death

 

Kefee Obareki Don Momoh passed away this morning June 13th at the US hospital where she was taken to after she collapsed and went into coma. She never came out of the coma. Her international manager Adeline has confirmed her passing and Kefee's husband also confirmed to a Star FM staff, where he works.

Oscar winning actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman dies at 46

Oscar winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman is dead. He was found dead at his New York home today Sunday February 2nd of an apparent drug overdose. He was just 46 years old.

Law enforcement officials said the acting veteran was discovered fully clothed in the bathroom on the 4th floor of his Manhattan apartment with a needle sticking out of his arm. He was discovered by his friend and screenwriter David Katz, who went to check on him when he failed to pick his children up.

Its being reported that five bags of used heroin were found around the late actor's body by police and a further two unused nearby.

Hoffman won a best actor Oscar for his role in the 2005 film Capote. He is survived by a partner of 14 years and three children. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

Isidingo actress Lesego Motsepe passes on in her home at age 39

Actress Lesego Motsepe best known as "Letti Matabane" on South African/Mnet soap Isidingo has passed away.

The motivational speaker and AIDS ambassador died today Monday January 20th, according to a statement released by her family. She was found dead at her home in Randburg, South Africa by her brother, Moemise, this morning at 11:00 and paramedics confirmed that she died of natural causes at about 13:00. She was aged 39.

The actress has been living with HIV/AIDS since 2008. She is survived by family and friends. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.

RIP Actor James Avery, Fresh Prince of Bel Air's 'Uncle Phil' dies at 65

James Avery, the actor who played Uncle Phil in popular 90s sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel Air has died. He passed away December 31st in an LA hospital days after undergoing open heart surgery. He died from complications from the operation. He was 65 years old. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Fast & Furious star Paul Walker dead in fiery car wreck! Tragic

This is just a sad morning for us fans of actor Paul Walker :(
Actor Paul Walker, best known for his role in the Fast & Furious action movies, has died in a car crash after his friend lost control of a Porsche GT which smashed into a pole and a tree.
The high-powered super-car burst into flames after it crashed in Santa Clarita, north of Los Angeles, at 3:30pm, yesterday.
Walker, 40, who was in five of the six films about illegal street racing and heists, had been at an event for his charity Reach Out Worldwide before deciding to take the car out for a drive with his friend.
The fundraiser, to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan, was taking place in a race car shop near to the scene of the crash.
Guests rushed to put out the flames with fire extinguishers but the fireball had already engulfed the car. 
The star's representatives and official Facebook page confirmed his death.
The LA County Sheriff's department said two people died but is yet to release names.
However Ame Van Iden, Walker's publicist, said in an email: 'Sadly, I must confirm that Paul did pass away this afternoon in a car accident.'
The actor's official Facebook page was also updated with the message: 'It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide.
'He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives.
'We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.
'Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - #TeamPW.'
Walker, who leaves behind a 15-year-old daughter, was an investor in the Always Evolving car shop in Valencia, California
His co-star Vin Diesel said in a post on Instagram that he was speechless: "Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."

Sopranos actor James Gandolfini dies at 51

James Gandolfini, whose portrayal of a brutal, emotionally fragile mob boss in HBO's The Sopranos helped create one of TV's greatest drama series and turned the mobster stereotype on its head, has died in Italy. He was 51.
Gandolfini died on Wednesday while on holiday in Rome, the cable channel and Gandolfini's managers Mark Armstrong and Nancy Sanders said in a joint statement. No cause of death was given.
"He was a genius," said Sopranos creator David Chase.
"Anyone who saw him even in the smallest of his performances knows that. He is one of the greatest actors of this or any time. A great deal of that genius resided in those sad eyes. I remember telling him many times, 'You don't get it. You're like Mozart.' There would be silence at the other end of the phone."
Gandolfini played mob boss Tony Soprano in the groundbreaking series that aired from 1999 to 2007. His performance was indelible and career-making, but he refused to be stereotyped in other roles as the bulky mobster who was a therapy patient, family man and cold-blooded killer. He won three Emmy Awards for the role.

Late Goldie's Belongings Will Be Auctioned Tomorrow- Family

The family of late Hip hop star, Goldie Harvey will tomorrow auction all her belongings. According to a statement signed by the family representative, Deji Adetayo, he stated that, although the singer did not leave a will, she had had an agreement with her husband, Leonard Harvey to auction her remaining items and the proceeds from the sales would be donated to charity.

There will be a garage sale at Goldie’s house located at 30B, Ologunkutere Street, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos on May 1, 2013.

Alternative metal bassist Chi Cheng dead at 42

Alternative metal bassist Chi Cheng of the Deftones has died, four years after a car accident left him a coma.
Cheng died on Saturday after being brought to a hospital emergency room, according to a website set up to raise funds for the stricken musician. He was 42.
"I know you will always remember him as a giant of a man on stage with a heart for every one of you," his mother wrote in a statement on the site. "He left this world with me singing songs he liked in his ear."
No cause of death was given on the site. It was not immediately clear where Cheng died.
Cheng was seriously injured during a head-on car collision in Santa Clara, California, in 2008. Cheng was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, local media reported at the time.
"Rest in peace Chi Cheng," wrote the band's lead vocalist, Chino Moreno, on his Facebook page, where more than 2,000 messages were left by fans eulogizing Cheng.
The Deftones, an alternative metal band out of Sacramento, California, was founded in 1988. The band won a Grammy for the Best Metal Performance in 2000
