APC Seeks Probe Of FG-Boko Haram Ceasefire Deal

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called for an independent inquiry to unravel the circumstances surrounding the apparently fake ceasefire deal announced by the Jonathan administration on Oct. 17th, now that the sect's leadership has described as an impostor the man with whom the phantom deal was negotiated.
The opposition party's concern came as the number of Mubi residents fleeing from  the conflict to a camp at Damare in Yola, Adamawa state is said to have risen to 9000.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said Nigerians will like to know how the Jonathan administration got swindled by an impostor to accept a phantom peace deal.

It's been over six months since the kidnap of the 218 Chibok girls, it's been a tiredless wait for the govt to produce concrete results .

In a landmark decision, the Federal Government has reached a ceasefire agreement with the Boko Haram terrorists.

Pres. Jonathan to decide whether he will rerun with VP Sambo- PDP

The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, says President Jonathan will be the one to determine if he would still like to run with his Vice, Namadi Sambo in the 2015 general elections.

Metuh said this at a press conference yesterday September 21st in Abuja. He also said that President Jonathan is yet to respond to the decision the party members took on Thursday September 18th where he was adopted as the sole Presidential candidate of the PDP
"The President is yet to communicate to the party or to the entire country because he is not only the President of the PDP, he is the President of Nigeria and I cannot inform you of decisions that have been taken in terms of what will happen because subjective opinions is not part of my job. I believed a lot of people are trying to speculate on Jonathan/Sambo ticket but why don’t we wait until when the President declares?
But I must inform that part of the reasons the PDP has not mentioned that, is because it is a winning team. What the President has done he has done it very well and he's the winning team. I believe that there is no need to magnify or attempt to import any difference between the President and the Vice President. They have worked so well. The Vice President has continued to be the second most loyal Vice President in the history of this country so I believe that he enjoys the confidence of the President. In the 2015 elections if the President accepts to run we will be able to take it to the next level.” Metuh said

FG denies hiring Stephen Davis as Boko Haram negotiator

The Federal government has denied claims by Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis, that he was hired by the Nigerian Government to negotiate for the release of Chibok girls.
Speaking through the Coordinator of the National Information Center, Mr Mike Omeri, today Sept. 5th in Abuja, FG said the decision to hire a negotiator would be made public whenever they decide to do so and that they have no plans to question those alleged to be Boko Haram sponsors by Stephen Davis
"For now nobody has been hired by the government to negotiate on its behalf with Boko Haram. Anytime the government decides to do so, it will make it known to the public. The government is still investigating the allegations made by the alleged negotiator. However, the government has no plan to question anybody because of those allegations made by the Australian,” Omeiri stated.
