Rick Ross [ @Rickyrozzay & @YoungJeezy Brawl at BET Awards

 

According to TMZ, a fight broke out backstage between rappers Rick Ross and Young Jeezy at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards which was taped last night at the Atlantic Civic Center to be aired next month.

According to TMZ sources, Ross and Jeezy exchanged words backstage and started pushing and shoving each other. BET security and bodyguards for each of the rappers eventually separated them.

A member of Rick Ross' entourage allegedly pulled out a gun but no shots were fired according to police who were called to the scene. There were no arrests or reports of serious injuries.

Breaking News - Bomb explosion near Islamic school in Zaria

There was a bomb explosion this morning around an Islamic boarding school in Zaria run by a cleric known for his outspoken criticism of Boko Haram.


The attack left two of the bombers dead and several others wounded according to NEMA. The emergency agency also said  the attackers had sent a warning asking students to evacuate before bombing the school. Injured victims have been taken to the hospital.

Meet The Teenage Girl Who Transformed Herself Into A Living Cartoon (photos and video)

I am begining to get scared of this "day and Age".! why would someone want to just look like a cartoon ???! Who does that? well apparently people do....

 Anastasiya Shpagina from Ukraine has transformed herself into a living cartoon character, complete with miniature waist, vividly-coloured hair, and a defined pout.

 Shpagina, who is just 5ft2ins tall, is already reported to have slimmed down to just over six stone in her attempts to resemble a living anime character, and is said to spend 30 minutes painstakingly applying her dramatic make-up to each one of her eyes.

EFCC arrests 24yr old currency courier trying to export N1b cash out of Nigeria

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) two days ago arrested one Abubakar Tijani Sheriff, whom it described as a bulk currency smuggler, as he attempted to smuggle $7million out of the country. The EFCC said in a statement yesterday that Sheriff, 24, was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos en route Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as he boarded his flight.


Following his arrest, he declared that he had a total sum of $4.5million on him but thorough screening and search showed that he was actually carrying $7,049,444, the commission said.  Sheriff then confessed that he was a courier for 20 individuals who hired him to courier the money for them to Dubai.

"Investigations by the EFCC showed that Sheriff is a regular traveller and one of several couriers of illegal cash suspected to be proceeds of crime,” the commission adding that his claims concerning his accomplices are being investigated.

Travellers leaving the country are statutorily required to declare cash in excess of $10,000. However, under the provisions of the Money Laundering Act, it is not sufficient to declare excess cash; the onus is on the person making the declaration to explain the source of the excess cash and the reason for the export.

Today (September 29) is the birthday of veteran actress, Joke Silva. She was born September 29, 1961 in Lagos, to Chief Emmanuel Afolabi Silva and Dr. (Mrs) Marianne Abimbola Silva. She attended Holy Child College, Obalende, Lagos for her secondary school education. She studied English at the University of Lagos (Nigeria), and later , Drama at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art (London, England). She got married to her husband, veteran actor, Olu Jacobs in 1985.
 Joke Silva has appeared in numerous stage dramas, TV productions, and movies. In 2006, she won the AMAA award for Best Actress in a Leading Role (AMAA 2006) for her role in Women’s Cot.

News - @Wajemusik reveals her movement to Chocolate City music group?!

According to rumors, If all goes according to plan, songstress, Waje may put pen to paper for Jos based music record company, Chocolate City. If they manage to pull this through, she will be the second female artiste on their books with Port Harcourt rapper, Pryse already claiming first FEMCEE. And by the way, Waje is no novice as she can hold her head anyday, anywhere.

While the rumor had persisted for months, the record label did not deem it fit to refute or confirm the news, but this time around, Waje herself has opened up on what is really going on.

‘We are trying to see how we can work together. They have been a very strong part of my career since ‘One Naira’ in the sense that they’ve really helped me in many ways. There is a possibility’, Waje told Channels TV presenter Victoria Idowu in an interview.

Waje was fully introduced to the Chocolate City camp after collaborating with rapper M.I on his 2010 hit ‘One Naira’ off his ‘MI2′ album.

‘It’s all about getting the right deal, this things do matter at the end of the day. Both Waje and Choc City need toknow it’s worth it’, an inside source in Waje’s camp tells NET.
