D’banj’s “Oliver Twist” – The Saga Continues…Estelle, Donaeo & More – Pick Your Favourite Remake/Remix

D’Banj ‘s “Oliver Twist” since it came out about six months ago has been making waves in the industry and even still rocks clubs and bobs heads till date. But, when i say “waves”, I don’t mean the regular waves that push rocks on the beach; no, that would be an understatement. When I say “waves”, I mean massive tsunami-type waves that have taken D’Banj ‘s name well across shores.

Pardon my slight exaggeration but let’s be honest, how many Nigerian songs have gotten this much buzz? With remixes from the likes of Estelle and Skepta? Up to the extent that a DJ donned the responsibility upon himself to make a megamix of several remixes? If you can name one, then I owe you at least a bar of chocolate.

“Oliver Twist” is the epitome of a fun, playful and equally entertaining song that even non-African audiences are having a good time with. The many fun, some funny, videos for the Oliver Twist dance competition even prove that. In fact, UK indie band, Ryan Parrott and The Rumours did a cover to the song and I would say a pretty good one at that. They managed to show a different side and element to the song, a more chilled out and relaxed side to it.

A lot of “Oliver Twist” remixes have been done; almost akin to when Busta Rhymes‘ “Touch It” was rave of the moment. But, I think I’ll stop here with the hype and get right down to it. I have a fondness for the Donaeo & Anton Romero remix but it’s your choice…

Voila! P-Square finally drops the video for “Chop My Money” with special appearance from Akon of Konvict Music, you best believe that; ’cause he featured on this track.
Like always nothing short of the best is expected from the cool twins (P-Square). The video was shot in multiple locations including in the club scenes, very expensive video, the Okoye brothers must have spent a fortune on this one.(chopping their money)
Akon did what he knows how to do best and Mister May D, the first signed artiste to Square Records shows us what makes him special.

Rihanna is just as notorious for her penchant for partying as she is for her stage shenanigans.
And so it's no surprise really that the singer turned up to rehearsals today with the hangover from hell after kicking off her birthday celebrations early.
The Russian Roulette singer has 24 candles on the cake today, but it seems she couldn't wait to start the party with all-night bender last night.
An insider exclusively told Mail Online: 'This morning, Rihanna turned up to rehearsals really, really late and kept everyone waiting.
'She didn't do any singing or dancing whatsoever. She literally stood on the stage like a zombie.'
The source added: 'She made all of her dancers, about 50 of them, dance around her and she stood looking really p***ed off like she'd been dug up.'
Rihanna even tried to incite a little sympathy from her 13.5 million Twitter followers, tweeting: 'I can't believe I'm pullin an all nighter on my BDAY!!!

But she certainly pulled it out the bag with her fashion choice.
The peroxide blonde was spotted leaving her London hotel wearing a pair of red suspenders, hiding the circles under her eyes beneath shades.
Despite wearing the lingerie accessories, the rest of Rihanna's outfit was rather casual.
With a pair of high-waist denim shorts, she wore a printed T-shirt, a baggy baseball jacket and even had a checkered shirt tied around her waist.
On her feet were a pair of black patent chunky brogues, and she finished off her look with a dark headband and sunglasses.
