R&B/pop star beyonce has penned an open letter to her role model and first lady,Michelle obama .The singer published a hand-written mash note to the First Lady on her Tumblr page recently, calling Obama "the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman.

Beyonce performed the Etta James staple "At Last" for the Obamas at the Neighborhood Ball on inauguration night in 2009, and performed at the White House State Dinner that hosted Mexico's president Felipe Calderon in 2010.
