Turkish newspaper Sabah quoted the Chelsea midfielder, currently in Brazil with Nigeria for the Fifa Confederations Cup as saying: "I have played at Chelsea for a long time and it's now time for me to leave.
"I'm still only 26 and it's great to receive an offer from a club (Galatasaray) playing Champions League football and doing well in the competition."
However, in an SMS to KickOffNigeria.com, Mikel literally laughed off the quotes, saying 'Hahaha no I did not say that."
Chelsea had earlier also denied that the midfielder gave any such interview or said anything about his future.
The Nigerian has only participated in one pitch side interview, in Salvador since arriving in Brazil with the Super Eagles, and did not speak about the supposed move.
Mikel has played over 180 games for Chelsea since joining the Blues in 2005 and has won the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and four FA Cups.
