Gwen Stefani will replace Christina Aguilera on The Voice USA

gwen stefani, gavin rossdaleGwen Stefani has reportedly joined The Voice USA.

The 44-year-old singer will replace Christina Aguilera - who is expecting her second child - on the seventh season of the show, which will begin filming in June, while the blonde beauty focuses on her pregnancy, according to TMZ.com.

The Dirrty hitmaker will reportedly be nearing the end of her pregnancy when the US singing competition reaches the battle rounds and, although she wanted to stay on the show, she felt it was best to bow out now.

However, Gwen - who welcomed her third child Apollo into the world in February - has only signed on for one season as Christina has already agreed to reprise her coaching duties on the NBC show during season 8.

Meanwhile, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and country singer Blake Shelton will both return for the seventh season, while Pharrell Williams will join the panel after replacing CeeLo Green.

The Happy hitmaker previously appeared on season four as a guest mentor alongside his good pal Usher, who is working on the current season and up until now has had a rotating spot with CeeLo as a full-time coach.

The Forget You singer, 39, announced last month that he wouldn't be returning to the show again, as he is developing his own TV show.
