Diamonds @Rihanna Has Knocked Gangnam Style @Psy_oppa Off The Top Streaming Chart In The UK

After a three week run at Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart, K-pop sensation Psy’s Gangnam Style has been ousted from the top spot by Rihanna. The Bajan superstar, who was last week crowned the UK’s second biggest selling female singles artist of all time, climbs up one place with Diamonds after three weeks on the chart.

The Official Streaming Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company on behalf of the British music industry, and has been running since May. It is the first chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK, which reflects the increasing interest in the new generation of music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster and We7.
After 4 weeks, Rihanna’s latest single ‘Diamonds’ finally reached the top spot in Europe’s biggest market.
This is Diamonds 4th #1 country chart after France, the UK, Norway and now Germany. (the song its currently sitting atop of two other european countries, which could translate in 2 new #1s for the song without music video and performance. -->
