Lady Gaga To Make Acting Debut in ‘Machete Kills’

Lady Gaga is coming to a theater near you.
The superstar singer will make her silver screen debut in writer-director Robert Rodriguez‘s highly anticipated action  flick, Machete Kills.
“I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills,” Rodriguez tweeted on Thursday, sharing a poster that reads, “Lady Gaga as La Chameleon.”
“She kicked SO MUCH ASS!” he continued. “Holy Smokes. Blown away!”
And Mother Monster confirmed the cinema news to her 27 million-plus Twitter followers. “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”
Who will Gaga be acting alongside?
Gaga joins an impressively star-studded cast including Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Charlie Sheen, Amber Heard, Zoe Saldana, Danny Trejo, Sofia Vergara and Vanessa Hudgens.
Machete Kills is a sequel to Rodriguez’s 2010 Machete. In Rodriguez’s second installment of the planned trilogy, Machete is being recruited by the U.S. government to stop a Mexican cartel leader and an arms dealer who has launched a space-bound terror weapon. The film is slated to open in 2013.
